The legendary Detroit rapper, Eminem reunited on the big screen with Adam Sandler in Happy Gilmore 2, which marks their first time working together since making an appearance in the then-voice-of-a-generation comedy mastermind’s 2009 film Funny People. What’s more to a star-studded list in the upcoming sports comedy, which already boasts NFL phenom Travis Kelce.

Earlier this week, the “Monster” rapper flew to New Jersey to film his scenes for the sequel to the iconic 1996 golf film. The US Sun report which was published on November 6 revealed that Eminem had been seen on set in New Jersey the previous day. A source says Eminem, who has long been a fan of the original Happy Gilmore, slipped right into his cameo — though exactly what that involves is still being kept secret. The 52-year-old musician kept things low-key, arriving without a large entourage and focusing on his work.

“He was fine with all the takes,” the source shared, noting that Eminem also showed hidden comedic acting skills and enjoyed the experience. His filming schedule was brief—he arrived the night before and wrapped up his one-day shoot the following night, leaving a lasting impression despite his short time on set.

The cameo by Travis Kelce was filmed last month, it joins the rest of a stacked cast. With these high-profile cameos, Happy Gilmore 2 seems to be banking on star power from both the sports and music industries to make a significant box office impact.  There are also strong rumors that Latin superstar Bad Bunny, as well as professional golfers Tiger Woods, Bryson DeChambeau, and Rory McIlroy, will make appearances in the film. As the film’s premiere approaches, it’s clear that Happy Gilmore 2 is setting the stage for a big, star-filled release.
