Manchester City have completed the signing of Emilio Lawrence, and have added him to their U23 squad. The 17-year-old has made the move from Everton, after lengthy negotiations between the two clubs over the winger.
The youngster is a very versatile attacking midfielder, and has been used in a wide role as well as a central option in some games. Born in 2005, Lawrence is from Scotland and is expected to be a top talent for the future, especially given the talent that the City academy is putting out right now.

A number of impressive young players have risen from Manchester City’s academy in recent years. Phil Foden and Cole Palmer are among the most notable names on the list, while the likes of Josh Wilson-Esbrand and Rico Lewis have also been making waves.
The club’s modern academy facilities have proven to be very attractive for young players. And as a result, they have chosen to sign for the Sky Blues.
The likes of Julian Alvarez and Sergio Gomez have also stepped up to the first team due to their abilities, but were signed as young players for the future.
It is as of yet unclear whether Emilio Lawrence will be sent out on loan to gain more experience or whether he will stay and develop further in the academy.
