Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez helped Red Bull achieve a one two at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, with the defending World Champion strolling to a win ahead of his teammate. Lando Norris of McLaren was able to complete the podium alongside the two Red Bull drivers.
Red Bull managed to achieve a one two finish for the first time since the 2016 Malaysian Grand Prix.
The home favourites, Ferrari, endured a disappointing race with Charles Leclerc finishing sixth after spinning off. The current table topper had a poor start, but did well to fight back to third place. An unfortunate spin denied him a podium finish to help build on his impressive start to the season. His teammate, Carlos Sainz, was punted off the tracks on the opening lap to an early end to his day.

Seven-time World champion Lewis Hamilton had a race to forget in Italy. The Mercedes star could only climb one position to 13th after qualifying in 14th place. His adversary from last season, Max Verstappen, was able to maintain pole position and finish the race as the winner.
With the Dutchman’s win, he has now cut the difference between himself and Leclerc short to 27 points. The race for the Championship is now starting to heat up. However, Hamilton and Mercedes could be out of it with the British driver failing to earn any points in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
