If you’ve been quietly rooting for Eloise Bridgerton all along, this one’s for you. The fan-favourite firecracker of the Bridgerton family is officially confirmed as the lead of **Season 6** — and here’s everything we know so far.

### It’s Confirmed — But Not Officially (Yet)

Netflix has not officially announced Eloise as the Season 6 lead, but the show’s own showrunner Jess Brownell made it pretty clear at the Season 4 premiere, sporting a pocket square embroidered with the initials “E” and “F” — hinting that both Francesca and Eloise would headline Seasons 5 and 6 respectively. With Season 5 now confirmed to follow Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd) and Michaela Stirling (Masali Baduza) in the show’s first-ever queer romance [whats-on-netflix](https://www.whats-on-netflix.com/news/everything-we-know-about-eloise-leading-bridgerton-season-6/), the path is clear — **Season 6 belongs to Eloise.**

### Bridgerton Season 6 — Eloise’s Chapter

| Detail | Info |
| --- | --- |
| **Lead Character** | Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie) |
| **Love Interest** | Sir Phillip Crane (Chris Fulton) |
| **Based On** | *To Sir Phillip, With Love* (Book 5) |
| **Officially Confirmed?** | Not yet, but virtually certain |
| **Expected Release** | 2029–2030 |
| **Season 5 Release** | Late 2027 / Early 2028 (est.) |

### What Is Eloise’s Love Story About?

Eloise’s romance, drawn from Julia Quinn’s fifth novel *To Sir Phillip, With Love*, centres on an unlikely pen-pal connection between Eloise and Sir Phillip Crane — a widower who was briefly introduced in Seasons 1 and 2, played by Scottish actor Chris Fulton. After exchanging letters for over a year following the death of his wife Marina Thompson, Eloise impulsively travels to his secluded estate in Gloucestershire.

It’s messy, spontaneous, and completely *Eloise* — which is exactly why fans are so excited. Learn more about the source novel on [Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/To_Sir_Phillip,_With_Love).

### Kate Sharma Might Play a Key Role

Showrunner Brownell has already teased that Kate (Simone Ashley) could have a significant presence in Eloise’s season, saying she’s “really partial to the relationship between Kate and Eloise” and hopes to have Kate involved when the time comes. That’s a pairing fans would absolutely love to see more of.

### What Comes After Eloise?

Bridgerton is set to run well into the 2030s. Season 7 will follow Hyacinth (Florence Hunt), adapting *It’s in His Kiss*, while Season 8 will close out the saga with Gregory (Will Tilston) in *On the Way to the Wedding*.
