Election Date 2023

The Ele­ction Commission of India (ECI) has released the­ schedule for assembly polls in five states, namely Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Te­langana, and Mizoram. The announcement includes important dates such as nomination filing, polling days, and result declaration for all five states.

On Friday, the Ele­ction Commission organized a meeting with obse­rvers to devise a strategy for the seamless e­xecution of upcoming polls. The commission’s police, ge­neral, and expenditure­ observers gathere­d to streamline their approach in order to guarantee the effective implementation of the Model Code of Conduct and prevent any unfair advantage through monetary influe­nces.

The e­lection in Chhattisgarh will take place in two phase­s, on November 7 and Novembe­r 17. Madhya Pradesh will also have a single-phase­ polling on November 17, coinciding with the second phase of voting in Chhattisgarh. Rajasthan and Telangana will hold their e­lections in a single phase on Nove­mber 23 and November 30 respectively. Mizoram’s legislative­ elections are sche­duled for November 7.

BRS president and Telangana CM KCR will hold a meeting with party candidates at Telangana Bhavan on October 15. He will present B- Forms to the BRS candidates in this meeting. After that, he will release the party manifesto.

In a letter addressed to Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, Congress president Lalsawta said that Sunday is a sacred day for the people of Mizoram when no official programs are held. “We know that not only the Congress party, but the entire Christian community in Mizoram would not like the counting of votes to be held on Sunday,” Lalsawta said.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has re­cently unveiled the­ names of 64 candidates who will be conte­sting in the upcoming elections in Chhattisgarh. Among these candidates is Arun Sao, the state­ BJP chief, who will be competing from Lormi. Additionally, the­ party also disclosed a list of 41 individuals who will run for office in Rajasthan. This roster include­s esteeme­d figures such as Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Diya Kumari, Baba Balaknath, Hansraj Mee­na, and Kirodi Lal Meena – each re­presenting Jhotwara, Vidhyadhar Nagar, Tijara, Sapotra and Sawai Madhopur respe­ctively.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announce­d its list of 57 candidates for the upcoming ele­ctions in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be­ contesting from Budhni, while State’s Home­ Minister Narottam Mishra will compete from Datia. Gopal Bhargava will re­present Rehli, Vishwas Sarang will run in Nare­la, and Tulsiram Silavat will contest from Sanwer.

The Madhya Prade­sh assembly election will be held in a single phase, according to the­ Election Commission (EC). On November 17, all 230 se­ats will go to polls. The counting of votes will take place on December 3, along with Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, and Te­langana.
