The excitement of motorcycle enthusiasts is at its peak as the much-await EICMA 2024 is just around a mere ten days from now. Elaborating, manufacturers are expected to unveil their latest new products in Italy. There are also zero reassurances from manufacturers like Royal Enfield, Bajaj-KTM, and Hero MotoCorp who could reveal new Indian-market motorcycles. Here’s a look at the top four bikes set to debut at the auto show from November 5 to November 10, 2024.
The Upcoming EICMA 2024
Royal Enfield Electric Bike
Ever since Royal Enfield announced that it is stepping into the electric realm last year, there has been a lot of hype surrounding its upcoming all-electric motorcycle. A production-specs model was caught testing recently and the company has revealed a teaser confirming its design will be unveiled on November 4, 2023, just before EICMA. Unfortunately, we will have to wait a little more than a week for that since details are being kept under wraps.
Royal Enfield Bear 650
Royal Enfield is expanding its 650cc motorcycle range with the all-new Bear 650 Scrambler, which will be unveiled on November 5 at EICMA. Four 650 cc models are available under the brand: the Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, Super Meteor 650, and Shotgun 650. Based on the Interceptor 650 chassis, it uses different wheel sizes and has revised suspension. It retains the 648cc parallel-twin engine, but with torque increased to 56.5 Nm, while power remains at 47bhp. With a seat height of 830mm, it will be the tallest of Royal Enfield’s 650cc offerings and is expected to launch in India at Motoverse 2024 in Goa next month.
2025 KTM 390 Adventure
KTM plans to take the spotlight at EICMA 2024 with the global launch of five new motorcycles, including the 2025 390 Adventure. Although there has been no official announcement, details surrounding the bike have slowly emerged with two trims planned: R for off-road focused bikers and X aimed more at on-road riders. The digital instrument cluster will be central to a list of expected features that includes traction control and single-channel ABS. Although mechanical details are yet to be officially revealed, we expect the bike to feature the current 399cc engine with a 6-speed transmission.
New Hero XPulse
The official release states that the new Xpulse will break cover at EICMA 2024 on November 7. The teaser video highlights an updated design, particularly a revamped front end with a new headlamp. As expected, the most significant enhancement will be in performance; the 2025 Hero Xpulse will feature a 210cc liquid-cooled petrol engine, similar to that found in the Karizma, and will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Reports suggest that the new Xpulse 210 could launch in India in early 2025, with an estimated price of around ₹1.70 lakh (ex-showroom).
