Inter Kashi forward Edmund Lalrindika is set to train with Canadian side Atletico Ottawa ahead of the 2024/25 season. The striker has been in good form for the I-League side, scoring four goals and assisting eight in 24 games for the club.
The 25-year-old has been called up to the Indian national team training camp in Bhubaneswar by Igor Stimac, opening up the possibility of a call-up to the final squad set to face Kuwait and Qatar in the vital matches for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers later in June.

The international exposure will surely be of great benefit to the forward, where he will be able to test himself in new conditions and with players from across the world. As of now, there are no talks for a permanent transfer away as he is set to return for the new season.
With ISL clubs choosing to play foreign centre-forwards almost exclusively, Edmund Lalrindika’s rise alongside Lalrinzuala Lalbiaknia has been refreshing in the I-League. Both players have been very effective for their teams, with Lalbiaknia also breaking Sunil Chhetri’s record for the most I-League goals scored by an Indian.
