East Bengal is ready to start their ISL journey

After a long wait, East Bengal is finally going to play in ISL this year. FSDL has already confirmed the league of 11 teams from this season and East Bengal has submitted the bid papers and other documents to play in ISL.

East Bengal recently tied up a contract with ‘Shree Cement’. Shree Cement will be sponsoring the Kolkata giant.

East Bengal has also started to strengthen their team for the ISL. They have signed some Indian talents like Lalramchullova, Mohammed Rafique, C.K.Vineeth, Balwant Singh, Cavin Lobo and Eugeneson Lyngdoh.

They are also going to sign some foreign players as well. As per some rumours they are trying to sign former FC Barcelona player, Ibrahim Afellay.

East Bengal is also monitoring some Indian players like Sandesh Jhingan as well.

Club licensing deadlines: Sporting criteria: Sept 4; financial criteria: Sept 28; final day for submission of follow-up documents: Oct 13; written representation prior to licensing: Oct 23; Licensing decision result: Oct 30.#IndianFootball

Though there is no official announcement till now of East Bengal’s addition in ISL. This is something for what East Bengal fans are waiting for. There is still some process yet to be done. The dates are-

  1. Club licensing deadlines [Sporting criteria]:  Sept 4
  2. Financial criteria:  Sept 28
  3. Final day for submission of follow-up documents: Oct 13
  4. Written representation prior to licensing: Oct 23
  5. Licensing decision result: Oct 30

These processes will be done soon.

Mohun Bagan are ready to play in ISL as they merged with defending champion ATK. They will play as ATK Mohun Bagan FC from this season. After East Bengal joins the league, India will enjoy the legendary rivalry between East Bengal and Mohun Bagan in this league as well.
