The sponsorship agreement of East Bengal has been a major doubt in recent years. Shree Cements were their sponsors for the last 2 seasons, however, there were many hiccups in their agreement and vision.
This year, East Bengal have parted ways with Shree Cements and have found a new sponsor, Emami. The East Bengal Foundation Day was celebrated yesterday, ie 1st August. The Kolkata club have completed an incredible 103 years of existence.
So now, just after the Foundation Day celebration, East Bengal are now finally set to sign the agreement with Emami today.

A formal invitation has been sent out by the Emami Group and East Bengal for the formal launch of Emami East Bengal. However, the club name has not been finalized yet whether it will be Emami East Bengal or just East Bengal.
The event will be held at The Oberoi Grand, Kolkata at 3:45 pm today, ie, 2nd August 2022.
East Bengal has already appointed former Indian national team coach Stephen Constantine as their head coach for the 2022/23 season. They have also started planning for some new exciting signings for the upcoming season. Unlike previous years, East Bengal will get enough time to build a strong team and reclaim their old glory days.
