Design and Build-Up Quality

EarFun Air Pro 3 is quite similar to other TWS earbuds in the market. The EarFun Free Pro 3 earbuds boast a compact design, featuring a small circular nozzle and a petite concha fin at the back. They are designed to resist moisture, carrying an IPX5 rating, making them suitable for everyday use as well as for workouts.

While I usually prefer earbuds with different nozzle shapes, I found that the EarFun Free Pro 3 provided a satisfactory fit. Thanks to the memory foam tips, I was able to avoid issues with an inadequate seal.

The case of the earbuds is slightly larger than a lipstick container. Opening the lid reveals the earbuds and automatically activates pairing mode. Additionally, the case supports wireless charging, while the USB-C port facilitates fast charging.

How to Operate EarFun Free Pro 3?

Similar to many other true wireless earbuds, the EarFun Free Pro 3 can be managed through a combination of taps and long presses on the backs. Each earbud features a capacitive touch interface, enabling control with your fingertip without causing the earbuds to shift or fall out of your ear canal.

If the default control layout doesn’t suit your preferences, you have the option to personalize it using the EarFun app. Through the app, you can access a drop-down menu to assign specific functions to each input—or even opt for no assigned functions. Additionally, there’s a slider option above the control customization screen that allows you to deactivate all controls if desired.

Pairing for the first time

If you’re using an Android phone, just turn on the Bluetooth and take out the buds. Then open the lid of the case, You can find ‘EarFun Free Pro 3’ showing in the list of available devices. However, one drawback is that it does not have the feature Google Fast Pair. The same process also applies to iPhones.

Pairing after the first time

If you’re connecting to the last paired device, then it’s a piece of a cakewalk. Just turn on the Bluetooth of your phone and take out the buds, it will get connected automatically.

However, if you’re trying to connect with another device other than the last paired device, then turn on the Bluetooth of your device. Then open the lid of the case and follow the same process as mentioned above, then you can see the name of the buds on the available devices list on an Android or iPhone.

Audio Quality

The EarFun Free Pro 3 earbuds deliver excellent audio quality at all volume levels. The ANC feature is effective, providing a great listening experience even in noisy, crowded environments. Additionally, these earbuds come with a dedicated smartphone app that allows users to personalize their experience. The app includes customizable equalizer settings and four presets, with boosting bass and treble options.

The app also allows switching ANC between three different modes with an option for ambient sound, which can also be accessed through touch control on the earbuds.

Battery Backup

In our standardized battery benchmark test, the EarFun Free Pro 3 recorded a battery life of around 5 hours. This duration is sufficient for a short flight or a daily commute. However, the battery recharges each time you place the earbuds back in the charging case. These may not be ideal for frequent international travelers as the users cannot use the earbuds for a prolonged period.

Verdict

The EarFun Air Pro 3 is priced at Rs. 7,499 in India, which is somewhat on the expensive side. However, without considering the noise cancellation feature, the EarFun Air Pro 3 meets all other essential needs and stands out as one of the best options in the true wireless earbuds category.

Recommended Use For Product

It is recommended that the user use it to listen to music, make phone calls, hold a video conference, work out, and play games for its best outcome.
