Design and Build-Up Quality
EarFun Air Pro 3 is quite similar to other TWS earbuds in the market. It has created an aesthetic simple yet elegant design with a matte finish. It comes in a rectangular-capsule-shaped case. Although the case is not fully compact in form, but is very lightweight and easy to carry. EarFun Air Pro 3 buds are in-ear type with a steam-based design. Although the case is of matte finish, the earbuds have a glossy finish which is completely dust-proof and fingerprint marks proof. The EarFun Air Pro 3 is IPX5-rated, making it resistant to low-pressure water splashes.
Connectivity
The EarFun Air Pro 3 buds come with the latest Bluetooth 5.3 version.
Pairing for the first time
If you’re using an Android phone, just turn on the Bluetooth and take out the buds. Then open the lid of the case and press the setup button at the back of the case for 2s until the indicator shows white. You can find ‘EarFun Air Pro 3’ showing in the list of available devices. However, one drawback is that it does not have the feature Google Fast Pair. At first, I couldn’t connect it until I found out about the setup button. After that the connecting became seamless. The same process also applies to iPhones also.
Pairing after the first time
If you’re connecting to the last paired device, then it’s a piece of a cakewalk. Just turn on the Bluetooth of your phone and take out the buds, it will get connected automatically.
However, if you’re trying to connect with another device other than the last paired device, then turn on the Bluetooth of your device. Then open the lid of the charging case and press the setup button until the indicator turns white. Then you can see the name of the buds on the available devices list on an Android or iPhone.
Audio Quality
The audio quality of EarFun Air Pro 3 maintains the best quality at all levels of volume. In these buds, ANC also works well, and it offers a very good listening experience even though you are in a crowded place with lots of hustle and bustle. These earbuds also offer a special specification of having a smartphone app, where one can personalize their experience with what they need. In this particular app, there is an option to customize equalizer settings. Besides there are four presets with options for bass boost and treble boost.
The app also allows switching ANC between three different modes with an option for ambient sound, which can also be accessed through touch control on the earbuds. The Air Pro 3 also has a low-latency mode, called the Game mode, which works well by reducing the delay for a smooth experience, especially while gaming.
The earbuds also offer a noise cancelling feature, but it does not work as well as other TWS products in the market. but the six-mic setup (three mics on each earbud) along with a stem design allows for decent voice clarity. That said, the Air Pro 3 works best in a limited-noise environment for voice calls as well and if one wants to watch something while traveling, they will face a problem, as the notice cancellation feature does not work properly.
Battery Backup
The earbuds support USB-C fast wired charging and it can also be charged through a wireless charger also. A quick ten-minute charge can also be enough for one to serve one’s immediate purpose for 2 hours. The full charge can last up to 45 hours in mixed usage.
Verdict
EarFun Air Pro 3 is priced at Rs. 5,699 in India which is slightly on the higher side. However, if we can omit the noise cancellation feature, the EarFun Air Pro 3 has all our other needs covered and can easily be one of the best options in this TWS earbuds category.
