# EA Sports agree sponsorship with Spanish football league, La Liga

Spanish football league, [La Liga](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Liga) and Santander began their sponsorship agreement in the 2016/2017 season. However, both parties announced last month that they have decided to end their sponsorship agreement after the 2022-23 season.

Now, famous video-game developers, EA Sports have agreed on a sponsorship agreement with La Liga. The agreement will take effect from the 2023-2024 season. According to the agreement, La Liga competitions will carry the [EA Sports FC](https://technosports.co.in/2022/05/11/ea-sports-fc-replace-fifa-july-2023/) game brand. However, the financial terms and the exact duration of the deal haven’t been disclosed yet.

## La Liga EA Sports FC

David Jackson, VP of brand of EA SPORTS FC, said: “LaLiga is incredibly important as we start and accelerate our football platform worldwide. We have ambitions to grow our platform and engage millions and millions of fans all over the world.”

EA Sports and La Liga already have a good relationship. The two parties extended EA Sports’ status as La Liga’s official video-game partner for 10 years in 2020. Now, EA Sports becomes the main sponsor of the Spanish football league.
