[Postponed: Update 19th April]E-Commerce Services will start Mobilizing from 20th April

To prevent the spread of coronavirus, Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi announced 21 days lockdown last month. As a result, e-commerce companies need to stop their supplies rather than the essentials.

Since the spread of the virus is not slow down yet, our honorable prime minister extends the lockdown again till the 3rd of May. Along with the announcement, the Indian government also issued a modified guideline just to the next day.

As per the updated guideline, commercial and private foundations can resume their activity from 20th April. But all the employees need to strictly follow social distancing and other safety measures during their service.

Obeying the declaration, e-commerce platforms like Flipkart, Amazon, etc will resuming their businesses from this Monday. All the items including electronics, clothing, household appliances and more as well as the essential products will be available.

All the delivery vans need to take permission from the authorities to come out on road. Whereas trucks and all goods carrier vehicles are allowed to go with utmost two valid license holder drivers and one helper. An empty carrier on the road will only allow while returning from any delivery or going for pickup. The government is also allowing shops for truck repair and dhabas on highways to remain open. This is to support the on-duty truck drivers.

These steps will definitely help to all the people directly or indirectly involved with this industry to survive economically. Besides, the industrial and commercial activities may revive.

As per the latest update by the Indian government, the supply of non-essentials which was decided to go to start from tomorrow, can’t be resume for now. Afterall safety is the first priority.
