After the signings of James Tarkowski and Ruben Vinagre, Dwight McNeil has completed his move to Everton. The player has made the move from Burnley, the same as Tarkowski, although the latter did it as a free agent upon the expiry of his contract.

The two clubs have agreed a transfer fee worth £20 million including add-ons for the midfielder. He has signed a contract with the Toffees until 2027.

Dwight McNeil signs for Everton

“It is an amazing feeling to sign,” said McNeil.

“When I heard about Everton’s interest I wanted to get it done straight away because of the club and how good the team is.

“I feel playing under a manager like Frank Lampard, he will help me to get my stats up – and that is what I want to do and improve my game.

“I am a direct runner with the ball. I like to get on the ball, cut inside and create chances for the team.”

The England U-21 international is a skilled dribbler, and was among the best in the Premier League this past season. He is expected to be the replacement for Richarlison after the Brazilian made the move to Tottenham.

Since 2018, Dwight McNeil has only missed two games in the Premier League which is a huge account of his fitness. After his signing, Everton are looking at Idrissa Gana-Gueye as their next signing for the summer to bolster their defence. PSG want to sell the player soon, and Everton are looking like the best candidates to complete the move.
