Dusan Vlahovic is set to be fined by Juventus for his reaction to the red card on Sunday, when the club drew 0-0 against Genoa. The Serbian was visibly furious towards the end of the game, and saw two yellow cards in quick succession, with the second turning into a red in the 92nd minute.Â
The striker was muted for the match, and also verbally abused manager Max Allegri when he was coming off the pitch. The manager has now confirmed that Vlahovic will be fined by the club for his actions.
Juventus to fine Dusan Vlahovic after lashing out in Genoa gameÂ
Vlahovic only recently returned from serving a yellow card suspension, and will now be forced to watch on from the sidelines as Juventus take on Lazio after the international break.
The extent of the fine, or any subsequent punishment has not been confirmed by the club yet. But, it could be announced soon once an internal investigation has been carried out by the club’s officials.
The Bianconeri have had a slump in form over the past few weeks. They won only one game in their seven matches before Genoa, and have dropped down the table. But Dusan Vlahovic has remained a threat, scoring ten goals in as many games in Serie A.
It now remains to be seen whether he will extend his contract or be sold by the club in the summer.
