Dulquer Salmaan’s game at the Kerala box office opened with a solid Rs 4.50 crore gross on Friday, September 4, 2026. That figure lands the film squarely in the healthy zone for a Malayalam theatrical release on day one.

The opening day report, published on Friday, September 4, 2026, frames the [collection](https://technosports.co.in/toxic-box-office-collection-day-2/) as a positive signal for the [Dulquer Salmaan](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dulquer_Salmaan) starrer. The day-one performance was described as a good start in Kerala, and the number itself sits comfortably within the expected range for a film of this scale.

For context, recent Malayalam releases have shown wide variance in day-one figures. Some have crossed the Rs 10 [crore](https://technosports.co.in/toxic-hindi-box-office-final-countdown/) mark on the back of festival windows, while others have settled below Rs 2 crore.

Landing at Rs 4.50 crore puts I Am [Game](https://technosports.co.in/im-game-review-dulquer-salmaan/) in the upper-middle band — a credible result for a film that is neither a franchise sequel nor a festival-weekend release.

## A Good Start in Kerala

Worth noting: the Kerala [box office](https://technosports.co.in/awarapan-2-box-office-wrap-up-emraan/) has been especially receptive to content-driven films this year, and Dulquer’s track record in the state includes several openings that outperformed initial projections.

The day-one gross also benefits from the actor’s dual appeal — he draws both family audiences and the younger multiplex crowd, which broadens the film’s base across districts.

Trade observers have described the perfor[man](https://technosports.co.in/spider-man-brand-new-day-india-box-office/)ce as a good start for the starrer in its home state, where Dulquer commands one of the strongest fan followings among new-generation Malayalam actors. The number carries weight for a simple reason.

Kerala remains the single most important market for Malayalam cinema, and a strong day-one there often sets the tone for the entire domestic run.

With multiplexes and single screens both contributing, the Rs 4.50 crore figure points to genuine walk-in traffic rather than a purely [advance](https://technosports.co.in/mirzapur-the-movie-advance-booking/)-booking-driven spike.
