Mohanlal’s *Drishyam 3* has finally hit theaters, and while fans across South India are buzzing about Georgekutty’s latest brush with danger, there’s one big question on everyone’s mind — will this gripping thriller get the Telugu and Kannada remake treatment like its predecessors? Turns out, the answer might surprise you.

## Why a Multi-Language Drishyam 3 Remake Isn’t Happening

Director Jeethu Joseph recently addressed the remake question head-on, and his reasoning is refreshingly honest. According to him, the film’s climax simply doesn’t translate well for audiences (or heroes) in other film industries. The ending that works for Malayalam viewers creates a problem when adapted for other regional heroes.

Interestingly, only the Hindi version is moving forward — but with a twist. The Hindi remake team requested changes to the climax, and Jeethu Joseph gave them the green light to take a different creative direction.

## What’s “Drishyam 3” Actually About?

The film picks up after Georgekutty and his family have settled into a fragile sense of normalcy. But peace never lasts long in this universe — old secrets threaten to resurface, paranoia creeps back in, and dangerous forces start closing in once again. Whether Georgekutty can outsmart fate one more time forms the emotional core of the story.

The cast features strong support from Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Siddique, and Murali Gopy, all adding weight to this high-stakes family drama.

## What’s Next for Mohanlal?

The veteran actor isn’t slowing down. He’s currently shooting *Athimanoharam* with Meera Jasmine, and has more projects lined up with directors like Priyadarshan and Dileesh Pothan — proof that his packed schedule shows no signs of stopping.
