[Drishyam 3](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drishyam_3) is refusing to slow down. Directed by Jeethu Joseph and starring Mohanlal in his iconic role as Georgekutty, the film added an estimated Rs 6 crore to its Kerala tally on Day 7 (Wednesday, May 28, 2026) — a nominal uptick from the previous day that signals rock-solid audience loyalty deep into its opening week.

## **Opening Week Wrap and What Comes Next**

The film is now firmly on track to close its 8-day extended opening weekend around the Rs 63–64 crore mark in Kerala alone — an impressive figure by any standard. Given the film’s strong weekday performance, a significant spike on the second weekend is expected, which should push the Kerala cume into the Rs 80–85 crore range.

From there, *Drishyam 3* would need just Rs 15 crore more to become a Rs 100 crore film in Kerala — a milestone it is expected to cross by the end of its second week.

**The bigger picture is even more striking.** The film had already raked in Rs 171 crore globally in just six days, making it one of the fastest Malayalam films ever to reach that mark worldwide.

## **Competition and Historical Context**

Once *Drishyam 3* enters the Rs 100 crore club in Kerala, it will turn its sights on the top all-time Kerala grossers — *Thudarum*, *Lokah Chapter One: Chandra*, and *Vaazha 2*. The film is already the second fastest Malayalam movie to cross Rs 50 crore in Kerala, trailing only *L2: Empuraan*.

The sustained weekday numbers — particularly the Wednesday uptick — confirm that word-of-mouth is carrying the film well beyond its opening weekend fanbase, which is the clearest sign of a genuine blockbuster run.
