Some Sundays rewrite the story of a weekend. *Drishyam: The Conclusion* (Drishyam 3) closed its first weekend in India with a Sunday jump, and the final total puts Ajay Devgn’s thriller among the biggest openers in Indian box office history.

### Drishyam 3: India Weekend Collection

| Day | Nett Collection |
| --- | --- |
| Friday | ₹61 crore |
| Saturday | ₹52 crore |
| Sunday | ₹59 crore |
| **Total** | **₹172 crore** |

### Where It Ranks?

According to Pinkvilla’s trade estimates, the three-day total is the third-highest first weekend of all time:

| Film | First Weekend Nett |
| --- | --- |
| Dhurandhar: The Revenge | ₹283.50 crore |
| Jawan | ₹177.50 crore |
| **Drishyam: The Conclusion** | **₹172 crore** |

The report also notes it trails *Pushpa 2* (Hindi), which netted ₹180 crore.

### The Sunday Surge

Sunday grew 10-15% over Saturday. The boost came mainly from the Northern, Central and Eastern circuits, plus Gujarat. These regions dipped more on Saturday after the holiday-boosted opening day, then bounced back, with most getting close to first-day numbers and some even going above.

### Maharashtra Leads the Charge

Maharashtra remains the film’s top-performing state and still managed to grow, even from an already huge base. It actually beat its first-day collection on Sunday. The state has a strong history with the franchise. Whenever Ajay Devgn plays a Maratha character, whether in *Singham*, *Tanhaji* or as Vijay Salgaonkar in *Drishyam*, it posts outstanding numbers.

### What Comes Next?

The film is already a blockbuster. The open question is how big, and that depends on Monday and the weekdays. Strong word of mouth and a Sunday rebound suggest it has legs. For more on the star, see the [Ajay Devgn](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ajay_Devgn) Wikipedia page.
