Some sequels coast on nostalgia. This one broke records. *Drishyam: The Conclusion* (Drishyam 3) has turned Vijay Salgaonkar’s last masterstroke into a blockbuster weekend, and it’s already Ajay Devgn’s biggest opening ever.

### Drishyam 3: Worldwide Opening Weekend

| Territory | Gross Collection |
| --- | --- |
| India | ₹208 crore |
| Overseas | ₹58 crore |
| **Worldwide** | **₹266 crore** |

Inside India, the film collected roughly ₹172 crore nett in three days.

### Day-Wise India Nett

| Day | Nett Collection |
| --- | --- |
| Friday | ₹61 crore |
| Saturday | ₹52 crore |
| Sunday | ₹58-60 crore |
| **Total** | **₹171-173 crore** |

The Saturday dip was small, and Sunday bounced right back. That’s a sign of strong word of mouth, which is exactly what a thriller needs to last beyond its opening weekend.

### Why the Numbers Matter?

Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film delivered the career-best opening day and opening weekend for Ajay Devgn. Trade reports also call it the second-biggest opener of the year so far.

The timing helps too. With no major release lined up until *Ramayana*, the film has a clear runway for a long theatrical run. The weekdays will show just how big a blockbuster it becomes.

### A Franchise That Keeps Delivering

Three films, three wins at the box office. It all began with the 2015 Hindi remake, and you can read the origin story on the [Drishyam (2015 film)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drishyam_(2015_film)) Wikipedia page. That consistency has made Drishyam one of Hindi cinema’s strongest franchises.
