If there’s one thing Malayalam cinema fans never tire of, it’s Georgekutty outsmarting everyone. **Drishyam 3**, the highly anticipated third chapter of Mohanlal’s most beloved crime-thriller franchise, is releasing on **May 21, 2026** — and the advance booking numbers are nothing short of staggering.

## What Do the Advance Booking Numbers Say?

Drishyam 3 has already crossed ₹25 crore in global pre-sales and is currently heading toward the ₹27 crore mark for the opening weekend alone. Of this massive figure, around ₹18–19 crore is accounted for just by opening day bookings. In Kerala, opening day pre-sales have already crossed the ₹6 crore mark.

And this is **before** premiere shows even begin.

## Drishyam 3: Advance Booking Snapshot

| Region | Pre-Sales |
| --- | --- |
| Kerala Opening Day | ₹6 crore+ |
| Opening Day (Total) | ₹18–19 crore (est.) |
| Opening Weekend (WW) | ~₹27 crore (est.) |
| **Total Global Pre-Sales** | **₹25 crore+** |

With one and a half days still remaining before release, strong momentum in advance bookings is expected to continue. The film is projected to smash around ₹35 crore or more in final pre-sales before premiere shows — which would make it one of the biggest advance bookings in Malayalam cinema history, second only to L2: Empuraan.

## Who’s Back — and Who’s New?

The film is written and directed by **Jeethu Joseph**, produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirvad Cinemas, and releases in **Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada**. Learn more about the [Drishyam franchise and its cultural impact](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drishyam_(franchise)) on Wikipedia.
