DOOGEE has announced that it will debut its first ever tablet in November 2022. The T10 is said to cost around US$100, yet to pack potential advantages such as a USB type-C port for data and charging; support for dual-SIM 4G/LTE and Wi-Fi 5, and expandable memory.
DOOGEE might be best known for its rugged smartphones that often exhibit distinctive selling points such as “night vision” or thermal cameras. Its next new product, on the other hand, represents a break away from this traditional category.
DOOGEE T10 is going to launch
The first-gen T10 is now being teased as a 10.1-inch device with a metallic unibody. The slate’s 1920×1200 IPS panel is to be driven by the Unisoc Tiger T606, and, is, thus, purported to drive the DOOGEE T10 into the low-performance end of the tablet market.
Multimedia consumption on a budget is clearly one of the goals of the T10, as also evidenced by the inclusion of dual stereo speakers. The T10 has a 13MP main camera on the back and an 8MP selfie AI camera.
Inside the T10 is an Unisoc T606 chipset, alongside 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM, plus 5GB of virtual RAM and 128GB of UFS storage. While the chipset might be on the slower side, DOOGEE has made sure to certify the T10 for Widevine L1, allowing it to stream FullHD quality from services like Netflix.
Then again, the SoC is slated to accompany standalone connectivity, Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi 5 in this upcoming device, not to mention a slot for microSD cards of up to 1TB in size. A large 8,300 mAh battery is contributing to said weight. It supports 18W Power Delivery charging via the tablet’s USB Type-C port.
The DOOGEE T10 is set to debut in gray, silver or blue colorways on November 1, 2022 with a “world premiere” on AliExpress. It is slated to start at US$299.98, although that price could be subject to change on its launch day.
