Manchester United have their first signing of the Erik Ten Hag era, with Tyrell Malacia set to make the move from Feyenoord. The player was in the final stages of agreeing a move to Lyon, but the transfer was hijacked by the Premier League side.
They offered a higher fee than Lyon, with €15 million up-front, and €2 million in add-ons. Personal terms have also been agreed for the transfer, and the official announcement will be made once the formalities have been carried out.
Tyrell Malacia to join Manchester United
A number of the club’s targets are from the Eredivisie, with Tyrell Malacia being the first to make the switch to England. Lisandro Martinez is the next major target that is being linked with a switch to Erik Ten Hag’s new team.
Manchester United are also in pursuit of Frenkie De Jong for the last month. They have been able to offer a €60 million plus €25 million in add-ons deal to Barcelona, but the player is apparently not willing to move owing to the lack of Champions League football. The Dutch international’s transfer saga has been going on for weeks, with seemingly no end in sight.
Ajax winger Antony is also on the transfer list of the Red Devils. The Brazilian’s entourage are pushing for the move to go through, but Ajax are demanding a sum over €60 million for the deal to go through, which United are not matching as of right now.
