The England international has attracted a lot of praise in the last few years. And with the World Cup coming up this year, he will be looking for every opportunity to make it into the first team. As a result, the move to Manchester City will put more eyes on him and possibly raise his level to new heights too.

Under Marcelo Bielsa, Kalvin Phillips was able to become one of the best midfielders in the league. He had two years remaining on his contract with the Yorkshire club, and has now agreed a long-term deal with City.

Leeds United recently signed Marc Roca from Bayern Munich, but could look for another midfielder to replace Phillips in the current transfer window. Manchester City’s Darko Gyabi could be a potential option, discussed in a separate deal, as well.
