### Lee Jae Wook’s Character — Awkward, Clumsy & Totally Lovable

New stills show Do Ji Eui performing surgery with steady, skilled hands — reflecting his background as a plastic surgeon. But as a public health doctor completing his alternative military service, he is assigned to Pyeondong Island, a place most people actively avoid, where he faces entirely new challenges.

Lee Jae Wook himself opened up about the role: he described Do Ji Eui as “someone who has little experience in the world beyond studying,” adding that the character “finds everything difficult and frightening in unfamiliar environments,” and that he tried to naturally show his “awkward, somewhat bittersweet side” along with a relatable, clumsy human charm.

Honestly? That sounds like peak comfort-drama material.

### Why Lee Jae Wook Is the Perfect Pick

Lee Jae-wook made his television debut in *Memories of the Alhambra* (2018–2019) and gained widespread recognition through *Extraordinary You* (2019), *Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol* (2020), and *Alchemy of Souls* (2022–2023) — a run that earned him multiple acting awards across all three projects.
