Novak Djokovic shows his magic once again on the hard court lifting yet another Australian Open trophy. In a healthy encounter against Stefanos Tsitsipas, Djokovic landed a straight-set win (6-3, 7-6, 7-6). 

22nd Grand Slam for Novak Djokovic: equals Rafael Nadal in total Grand Slam race

With that win, Djokovic bagged his 10th Australian Open and 22nd Slam in this career only to equal Rafael Nadal in the total trophy list. The win also brings him back to the number one spot in the ATP World rankings.

1: Highest Grand Slam Title records:  Djokovic currently stands tied with Nadal with the maximum number of Slam titles which is 22. 

2: Most Australian Open Titles Record: The Serbian star is the first to win the highest number of Australian Open Single Titles as the number is 10. 

3: No 1 ATP Ranking: He surpassed Carlos Alcaraz to emerge as the number 1 in the ATP rankings.

Will he surpass Nadal in the total number of Grand Slam run?

Novak Djokovic will surely give his best to surpass his friend and competitor Nadal and be the one with the most Grand Slams. But the next event knocking at the door is the clay-court-based French Open where the Spanish great has had 14 titles. 

However, it’s yet to be clear if Nadal will be a part of the upcoming tournament considering his fitness. If he’ll be back to defend his title, it is something Tennis lovers will look forward to knowing. 

Djokovic might have a great chance to surpass it in Wimbledon where he had his hands on the trophy seven times already.
