The DJI Osmo Mobile 6 (OM6) smartphone gimbal, which features five significant improvements over its predecessor, has been made available in China. It is a newer model of anti-shake smartphone gimbal than the OM5, with an improved design and more sophisticated features.
Osmo Mobile 6 smartphone gimbal features
It features a foldable body, straightforward but effective buttons, and a magnetic quick-release mechanism. Additionally, it has the three-axis gimbal stabilization system developed by DJI.
The Osmo Mobile 6 gimbal is available in a dark rock grey hue, which is distinct from its predecessor and has numerous clever shooting modes. The DJI Mimo will immediately come up when linked to a phone while the device is unfolded and on.
Additionally, there is a new status display panel with a PTZ mode activation button that allows you to examine the battery life and system indications. Follow, tilt lock, FPV, and rotational shooting are the four available PTZ modes. Intelligent follow-up is another improvement; it has a greater following distance and is more stable and smooth.
With the OM6, the gadget may now be manually focused thanks to a new side dial. With only one click, you may change the blur, zoom in, and change the focus. Also possible with the new feature is changing the focal length.
The DJI Osmo Mobile 6 smartphone gimbal weighs 309g, compared to the 31g of the magnetic phone clip. The tripod is 138mm long and 32g in weight. For translation, the gimbal has a range of rotational angles between -161 and 174 degrees. The gadget can roll between -120 and 212 degrees, with a maximum control speed of 120 degrees per minute.
With a 1000mAh battery, the Osmo Mobile 6 can operate for up to 6 hours, and 24 minutes. A replacement device protection plan has also been introduced by DJI. For a short time, the Osmo Mobile 5 smartphone gimbal will be sold for 999 yuan (about $140) in China. The cost of the annual care package is 49 yuan, or roughly $7.
