Disney just changed how you’ll pick your next cinema seat — and Marvel fans should pay close attention.

At **CinemaCon 2026** in Las Vegas, The Walt Disney Studios announced the launch of **Infinity Vision**, a new certification for premium large format (PLF) theaters, developed in collaboration with global theatrical exhibition partners. ## What Is Infinity Vision?

Infinity Vision will signify to audiences which auditoriums offer the biggest, brightest, and most immersive cinematic experiences, setting a new benchmark for theatrical presentation. [The Walt Disney Company](https://thewaltdisneycompany.com/news/infinity-vision-movie-theaters/)

To earn the badge, theaters must meet strict technical requirements across three pillars:

| Feature | Standard |
| --- | --- |
| 🖥️ Screen Size | Largest available for maximum scale |
| 💡 Projection | Laser projection for brightness & clarity |
| 🔊 Audio | Premium immersive sound formats |
| 🌍 Availability | 75 US screens / 300+ globally |

Certified theaters will display Infinity Vision branding both online and in-theaters, making it simple for consumers to find certified auditoriums when purchasing tickets.

## Why Does This Matter for Marvel Fans?

This isn’t just a certification — it has a direct Marvel tie-in. Infinity Vision will debut with the September re-release of **Avengers: Endgame**, followed by the highly anticipated **Avengers: Doomsday** in December on certified screens.

If you’re planning to watch Doomsday, hunting down an Infinity Vision screen is now your best bet for the ultimate experience. For more on Avengers: Doomsday updates, check out our coverage at [TechnoSports](https://technosports.co.in).

## Disney vs. IMAX — A New Rival in the Room?

The move has been widely seen as an attempt to rival IMAX [Dark Horizons](https://www.darkhorizons.com/more-details-on-disneys-infinityvision/), which has long dominated the premium theatrical space. Disney’s unified standard could simplify what has become a confusing landscape of competing formats.
