The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 final is just two days away as Mumbai Indians will take on qualifier two between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
IPL 2020 has been historical and definitely one of its kind. The live streaming partner Disney+ Hotstar VIP has announced another one of its kind innovation to provide users with a unique social watching experience. The feature goes by the name ‘Watch with your friends.’
The COVID-19 pandemic has to people following stringent social distancing norms. Therefore, enjoying IPL with friends has been difficult. Therefore, the feature allows users to video chat with their friends while watching the match’s live stream, all on a single screen! The users will be able to enjoy the IPL final face-to-face with their friends and loved ones.
How the feature works?
Users would need to click the ‘start video call’ feature under the live match stream. They would be able to add up to 5 friends in portrait mode. The users will also have the option of listening to the sports commentary over their conversation and control the volume of each to customize their experience.
The ‘audio only’ option is available as well in case of low connectivity. The video synchronization among participants will ensure that the stream does not lag.
