Roma are in talks with Leeds United for the signing of Diego Llorente. The two clubs are discussing a loan deal with an option to make the move permanent. An agreement is in place between the two clubs to get it done by the end of the transfer window.
And today, the contracts should be signed to get the deal over the line. The buy option included in the contract is valued at €15 million up-front, with an additional €3 million available in the form of bonus payments.
Diego Llorente to sign for Roma on loan
The player has arrived in Roma to complete the transfer, and should be announced as a new player for the club very soon.
After leaving Real Sociedad, Diego Llorente spent the last two and a half seasons at Elland Road. And now, he will be moving on from the club onto a new challenge.
This season, the Spaniard has only made eight appearances for Leeds United in the Premier League. And the limited playing time has been one of the factors causing him to push for a change in scenery.
Under Jose Mourinho, the Spaniard could shine in the Serie A. He will be replacing Matias Vina, who has signed for Bournemouth on loan with a buy option. With regular playing time, the 29-year-old could recapture his best form that led to a call-up to the Spain national team.
