## What Made Dhurandhar a Historic Blockbuster?

The [spy film](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spy_film) genre — long dominated by Hollywood franchises — found its definitive Indian blockbuster in *Dhurandhar*. Directed by Aditya Dhar (of *Uri: The Surgical Strike* fame), the film follows a decade-long Indian intelligence operation where Ranveer Singh’s undercover agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi infiltrates Karachi’s criminal and political underworld. The ensemble cast — Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun — delivered one of Bollywood’s finest ensemble performances in years.

## What to Expect from Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge

The sequel continues directly from the first film’s cliffhanger, with Ranveer Singh appearing in dual personas as Jaskirat and Hamza. R. Madhavan returns as strategist Ajay Sanyal, Arjun Rampal plays ISI Major Iqbal and Sanjay Dutt returns as SP Chaudhary Aslam — with the preview emphasising high-octane action set pieces and dramatic confrontations.
