Dheeraj Singh has returned to Mohun Bagan SG after spending three years with FC Goa on a free transfer. The 24-year-old’s arrival has been officially announced by the Mariners on their social media accounts, too.
Singh will likely be the backup goalkeeper for the club in the coming season, with Vishal Kaith almost certain to retain his place as the first-choice goalkeeper under new manager Jose Molina.

Singh previously featured for ATK in 2019, and then moved to Mohun Bagan SG in 2020 before leaving for the Gaurs in 2021. He made only one appearance when he was with ATK, but went on to make 66 appearances for Goa over the last three years.
He was rotated alongside Arshdeep Singh at Goa this past season, but regained his place as the number one towards the end of the season. This included the playoffs as well.
Now, the Manipur-born shotstopper has returned to Kolkata and will surely add more depth to Mohun Bagan SG’s already stacked squad.
The Mariners will receive a major boost now that Tom Aldred has arrived in the city from Brisbane. The club is also anticipating the arrival of Jamie Maclaren and Greg Stewart to bolster their attack in the coming days, having agreed deals with both players.
How long is Dheeraj Singh’s new contract?
One year long till 2025
