The Dhamaal franchise is back in business. **Dhamaal 4**, starring Ajay Devgn, opened to a solid **Rs. 14 crore nett** on its first day — a promising start that puts it firmly in the race for a HIT tag, provided it can hold steady from here.

## Dhamaal 4: Opening Day Breakdown

| Metric | Detail |
| --- | --- |
| Day 1 Collection | Rs. 13.75–14 crore nett |
| Comparable Opening | Welcome to the Jungle (Rs. 15.25 cr) |
| Predecessor’s Opening | Total Dhamaal (Rs. 16 cr in 2019, ~Rs. 25 cr adjusted today) |
| Circuit Strength | Slightly ahead in Mumbai; short in Hindi belt (Delhi-UP ~Rs. 50 lakh less) |

## How It Stacks Up

Dhamaal 4’s opening day is comparable to Welcome to the Jungle’s Friday haul from two weeks ago, though it falls short of its own predecessor, Total Dhamaal, once adjusted for today’s ticket pricing. City-wise, Mumbai gave Dhamaal 4 a slight edge, while most other Hindi belt circuits came in 10–20% behind Welcome to the Jungle’s numbers.

## Success or HIT? The Real Test Begins Now

A strong opening day alone doesn’t guarantee a HIT — legs matter more. Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla, for instance, opened similarly and legged all the way to Rs. 170 crore, while Welcome to the Jungle opened even higher but slipped by midweek and never recovered. Dhamaal 4 will need to avoid that same trap to convert its opening into something bigger.

## The Advantage: A Clearer Release Window

Unlike Welcome to the Jungle, which battled two major Hindi releases back-to-back, Dhamaal 4 mostly faces competition from Hollywood titles this cycle. With Spider-Man only a potential threat in week four and The Odyssey catering to a different audience, the film essentially gets a clear three-week run — a rare comfort in today’s crowded [Bollywood](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bollywood) release calendar.
