New details have emerged about Aaron Ramsey’s transfer to Rangers in the January transfer window. The player left Juventus to join the Scottish club on a six-month loan deal.
There is no buy option included in his contract, and it is a straight loan. However, Rangers will get preference if the two sides want to negotiate the permanent transfer of the midfielder when his loan spell is over in the summer.
Aaron Ramsey’s loan to Rangers could only be temporary
Aaron Ramsey has been in and out of the first team at Juventus, and there was a need for a more stable option in the heart of the park. His battles with fitness and injuries have also been a problem for the team.
The player has a contract with the Italian side until 2023, and will have to be sold in the summer. Otherwise, he will be able to walk out on a free transfer in one year.
The Bianconeri have sanctioned some interesting arrivals too, with Dusan Vlahovic and Denis Zakaria signed on permanent deals. With a more concise squad available at Max Allegri’s disposal, there is a good chance that we could see a change in form for the players.
As part of a clean out in the January transfer window, Juventus were able to get the former Arsenal man’s wages off of their books. They also sold Rodrigo Bentancur to Tottenham Hotspur, with Dejan Kulusevski following his teammate to London on a loan with a buy option deal.
