Tottenham have reached an agreement with Udinese to sign Destiny Udogie. The player will be loaned back to the Serie A side for the 22/23 season, and he will be making the move to London next year.
The 19-year-old had an impressive 21/22 season, scoring five goals and providing three assists in 35 appearances. As a result, he is seen as a prospect for the future by Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici, who have moved fast to sign him.
Destiny Udogie to join Tottenham next summer
Tottenham will be paying a sum worth €20 million for the player, who has four years remaining on his contract with Udinese. The youngster has earned three caps for the Italy U21 national team, and could step up to the senior squad if he can impress for the coming season, as well as in London.
The Lilywhites are now busy with departures for the summer, after a lot of time spent on incomings. Sergio Reguilon, Giovanni Lo Celso, Harry Winks and Tanguy Ndombele are all on the list of potential departures.
Reguilon, in this context, is the most important departure because alongside him, Ryan Sessegnon and Ivan Perisic are available as left wing-backs. The Spaniard is seen as surplus to requirements, and as a result, won’t be at the club when Destiny Udogie makes the move next summer.
Giovanni Lo Celso remains linked with a return to Villarreal, while Harry Winks and Tanguy Ndombele are yet to find an agreement with potential suitors.
