Dell launches new Vostro & Inspiron Laptops powered by latest 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake CPUs at $849 and $929

Intel recently announced its new 10th Gen Comet Lake mobile SKUs based on 14nm process. So, OEMs like Dell, HP are coming with their next-gen products based on the latest Intel CPUs.

Dell has recently announced its Vostro 13 5391 and the Inspiron 13 7391 thin-and-light laptops powered by the latest 10th Gen Intel processors. This helps to bring better performance at lower TDPs for thin and light laptops.

With the Vostro 13 5391, Dell has essentially stepped up the game for the mid-ranged laptops, reducing the weight, fitting more screen on the front, making a perfect work-oriented laptop. It’s powered by 10th Gen Comet lake i3, i5, as well as i7 CPUs, accompanied by discrete NVIDIA MX250 GPU.

Here the discrete GPU makes up for the significantly weaker iGPU of Comet Lake as compared to the SunnyCove-based Ice-lake processors. The laptop has 4GB/8GB DRR3 RAM options along with up to 1TB of SSD storage options. Some extra features like spill-resistant keyboard, Windows Hello support, and stereo speakers make the laptop much more productive.

  • Price: $929 onwards

The Inspiron 13 will be a thin and light productive laptop which will be powered by the powerful Comet Lake U CPUs specifically by the i5-10210U and i7-10510U. Also, there’s the discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX250 with 2GB RAM, so this laptop is meant for serious performance seekers and office users as well.

Though this is a compact laptop but has a respectable number of I/O ports. Also, this laptop comes included with an intelligent thermal solution that can detect whether it’s on a desk, a lap or being held on. Also, there’s the Windows Hello support and fingerprint reader included as well even though it’s less than 1kg of weight.

The Inspiron 13 7391 will initially launch only in China (23rd August), Japan (3rd September), and Brazil (11th December). Both these Laptops are expected to hit shelves from the upcoming week onwards.
