Dell Unveils Snapdragon X Laptop Lineup: XPS 13, Inspiron 14 & Latitude Series Featuring Elite & Plus Chips

The new lineup of laptops is Dell’s first powered by Snapdragon X processors and includes XPS, Inspiron, and Latitude series of laptops with Elite and Plus chip variants from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X SOCs in Dell’s latest laptop series. Leading the charge is the Dell XPS 14 Snapdragon Edition, which is available with 12-Core Elite and 10-Core Plus configurations. Both versions of the laptop have 45 TOPs NPU and an Adreno graphics chip. The smartphone has up to 64 GB of LPDDR5x, running at 8400 MT/s, and up to 4 TB PCIe 4 storage in the laptops.

The XPS 14 Snapdragon Edition laptop has a 13.4-inch display with FHD, QHD, and 3K OLED options with a brightness of up to 500 nits. The chassis is CNC machined aluminum with CORNING GORILLA GLASS 4 and Victus. The laptop also features WIFI7, Bluetooth 5.4, and two USB 4 Type C ports with DP2.1/Power adaptor. The battery is a 55wHr pack that is powered by a 60W AC adapter, with the system weighing between 2.416 lbs and 2.591 lbs.

The XPS 14 will be available later this year, and the price starts at $1299 US. The Dell Inspiron 14 and Inspiron 14 Plus 7441 laptops have similar X configurations. They offer memory options of up to 16 GB LPDDR5X 8400 MT/s RAM, up to 1 TB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs, and a 14-inch 16:10 QHD+ Anti-Glare IPS panel with up to 400 nits of brightness. I/O includes 2 USB4 (Type-C), a single USB 3.2 Type-A, a Micro SD card reader, WIFI7+BT5.4, and a headset jack. Starting at $1099 US, the Inspiron 14 Plus is available for pre-order on May 20th with availability later this year.

Dell Latitude 7455 (Snapdragon X Elite) and Latitude 5455 (Snapdragon X Plus) also appear last and come with an aluminum body in Titan Gray. And they have a 14″ 16:10 QHD+ IPS panel at 400 nits. A maximum of 32 GB LPDDR5x 8488 MT/s RAM and up to 1 TB of M.2 PCIe Gen4 SSD memory. Ports will be 2 USB4 Type-C, 1 USB 3.2 Gen1, an external uSIM card tray, and the power button also includes a fingerprint reader; a micro SD reader is present. As for connectivity, Dell added WIFI7+BT5.4. The computer costs are not currently known, and the firsts on the market to expect until the end of the year.
