Dell’s new G5 Gaming Desktop with 9th gen Intel processors launched with starting price of $629
At the Gamescom 2019, we are seeing something new from the manufacturers and OEMs, so Dell has no exceptions as well. Apart from launching the lastest Vostro and Inspiron laptops, Dell has launched a new product line.
The new Dell G5 Gaming Desktop range with Intel processors and NVIDIA graphics/ AMD graphics are here for all you gamers and enthusiasts.
Dell has a premium gaming desktop line under the name of Alienware but they did lack great gaming PC at a budget. With the new G5 Gaming Desktop range, Dell is targeting more gamers who have a low budget yet they want a great gaming PC.
This gaming desktop line is upgradable for users who always want to stay updated. These are based on Intel’s H370 chipset which means that these CPUs lack the support for overclocking which again reduces the TDP quite significantly.
So Dell can use a single 480 Watt PSU though powering a heavy i9-9900K on the back as well as the latest NVIDIA RTX/ AMD Radeon RX 5700 GPUs. You get options up to Intel’s Core i9-9900K processor and NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 2080 GPU.
You can configure the desktop up to 64 GB of DDR4-2666 memory, a 1 TB M.2 PCIe SSD, a 2 TB hard drive (or use two of them), a Wi-Fi 6 AX1650 network card, Gigabit Ethernet, and much more.
Unlike it’s premium Alienware brothers the G5 series do lack liquid cooling but there’s the solid air cooling with heat pipes that ensure the desktop doesn’t heat up that much during prolonged going sessions.
You will be able to configure your system via Alienware Command Center software where you can tweak your CPU and GPU performance according to your needs.
Dell’s G5 desktop range is now available in the market and prices will start at $629, with more advanced configurations available for you at higher prices.
