The Inspiron 14 5425 from Dell features the latest AMD Barcelo APUs. The laptop is sold in various regions, but there are fewer custom options available in the US than in Germany. In Germany, for instance, Dell sells both the Ryzen 5 5625U and Ryzen 7 5825U, but only the latter is available in the US. No matter where you order the laptop, it is available in the Platinum Silver colour choice.
Interestingly, Dell offers “Pebble Green” as a color choice for the device in the technical specs, despite the fact that it is not yet customisable. Additionally, the DDR4-3200 RAM in the Inspiron 14 5425 is only 16 GB at this time in the US. The laptop also includes a 512 GB SSD; in Germany, a 256 GB disk is also an option.
Dell is offering a 1,920 x 1,200-pixel display with a peak brightness of 250 nits and a 60 Hz operating speed.
The display, which is presumably an IPS screen, does not enable touch input, and it also lacks a webcam that is Windows Hello-compatible. The laptop is powered by a 54 Wh battery and has two USB Type-A connections, one Type-C port that supports DisplayPort, an HDMI port, a 3.5 mm socket, and a power adapter as standard. The price of the Inspiron 14 5425 in the US, where it is currently shipping, is US$899.99.
