Dell has announced three new U-Series displays in international markets, according to IT Home. The new monitors will have next-generation technology under the hood, but the 27-inch models will have LG’s IPS Black screen technology and a whopping 2000:1 contrast ratio.
The new Dell 27-inch monitors, the U2723QE and U2723QX, are identical. The video cable included with each model is the only variation between the two. With LG’s IPS Black screen, a 60Hz refresh rate, and a static contrast ratio of 2000:1, the two collections feature 3840 x 2160 resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate, and a static contrast ratio of 2000:1.
The contrast ratio is a significant improvement over prior versions, with twice the contrast ratio of older models. The displays will have a DCI-P3 colour gamut of 98 per cent, a standard max brightness of 400 cd/m2, VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, DeltaE 2 colour accuracies in sRGB, and DCI-P3 gamuts, and VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. Both Dell monitors have HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, and a USB-C socket that can accept a 90W power source.
Dell’s U3023E monitor features an IPS screen, 16:10 aspect ratio, 2560 x 1600 resolution, 60 Hz refresh rates, 400 cd/m2 brightness, a great 1B colour spectrum, a lower 1000:1 contrast ratio, and a colour gamut that covers 100% sRGB and 95% DCI-P3.
The new Dell display has a small border on all four sides and a sturdy base that allows for both lifting and rotating adjustments. The Dell 30″ display comes with a USB-C interface that can support a 90W external power source and includes HDMI, DisplayPort, USB Type-A and Type-C downstream connectors, as well as network ports. The new monitor, according to the manufacturer, has a larger screen area (11 per cent more) than a regular display with a 16:9 screen ratio.
The new Dell monitors are currently available for purchase on the company’s website. For $779.99, the 27″ U2723QE and U2723QX collections are identical. The expected MSRP for the 30-inch U3023E model is $1050.
