The new Dell 32-Inch Curved Gaming Display (S3220DGF) with 165 Hz Refresh rate & AMD FreeSync 2 is now available
Dell is making some bold moves at the Gamescom 2019, apart from other great devices, Dell has also launched the new 32-inch QHD Curved Gaming Monitor. The main highlights of this monitor being the variable refresh support via AMD FreeSync 2 of up to 165 Hz, along with support for HDR content.
This 32-inch monitor (S3220DGF) uses a 31.5-inch curved VA panel featuring a 2560×1440 resolution. The panel has 400 nits of brightness, a 3000:1 contrast ratio, 178° viewing angle, and 4 ms GtG response time.
Well, Dell’s 32-inch Curved Gaming Monitor is one of the industry’s first FreeSync 2-enabled LCDs having this size and curvature. Kudos to Dell for this great monitor that also has a 165 Hz maximum refresh rate.
The company has done a great job in infusing such high refresh rates on a curved gaming panel retaining the HDR support along with AMD FreeSync 2. The refresh rate might vary from 48 Hz to 144/165 Hz depending on the connection.
The 32-inch curved monitor can display:
- 1.07 billion colours,
- can reproduce 92.4% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, 99.7% of the sRGB colour gamut, and 89.2% of the CIE 1931 gamut
- has the DisplayHDR 400 badge, not the true HDR10 support.
Dell also added some extra features that make this to be a gaming monitor: on-screen timer, frame rate counter, and Dell’s “dark stabilizer” to provide better visuals in dark scenes in games. The S3220DGF monitor features an adjustable stand with built-in cable management slots.
For the ports and I/O, we have one DisplayPort 1.2 input, two HDMI ports, a triple-port USB 3.0 hub, and two 3.5-mm audio jacks.
The Dell 32 Curved Gaming Display (S3220DGF) will be available from today and will have a price tag of $599.99.
