Guillermo del Toro is pushing boundaries with *The Buried Giant*, a gritty, mature stop-motion epic for Netflix. Adapting Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel, this post-Arthurian fantasy ditches kid-friendly tropes for raw, complex storytelling. With Ron Perlman onboard, the project promises uncanny, high-stakes animation. Expect a long wait, as this ambitious, dark masterpiece is projected to hit your screens by 2028 or 2029.
