The video dropped on the internet within a few days just after several celebrities had passed through the same situations. This is definitely a misuse of technology and breaking the image of an individual.

Deepfake: Govt’s Action

The Govt. is also looking after this matter as Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar told the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity) will generate a platform on which people can able to notify the ministry regarding IT rule violations via social media platforms.

“Meity will put in place a platform through which the aggrieved people can very easily notify the ministry about the violations. Also, a mechanism will be designed by the ministry that will assist them in filing FIRs”, he said.
