Dayot Upamecano joined RB Leipzig in 2017. Since then he has become a vital member of the squad. Last season RB Leipzig has experienced a dream run in the UEFA Champions League. They went to the semi-finals where they lost to Paris Saint-Germain. Dayot Upamecano caught the eyes of many big clubs for his excellent defensive abilities.

The French international has made 135 appearances for the club and scored 4 goals as well. The 22-year-old defender has a great future ahead.

On the other hand, FC Bayern Munich is in search of a perfect replacement for David Alaba. The Austrian international has already decided to leave the club the next summer. His contract with Bayern Munich will end in June, and he has already refused to sign a new contract.

Last week Bayern Munich’s CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge revealed their interest in Upamecono. He said, “We will of course deal with it, not only with this player but in principle on the positions where we want to do and have to do something.”

Upamecano will be a great addition for long term if the deal goes through.
