Inter have completed the signing of Davide Frattesi on a loan deal with a mandatory buy option from Sassuolo. The Italy international will be replacing Marcelo Brozovic at the club, after the Croatian left for Al Nassr.
Frattesi was pursued by all the top clubs in Italy including Juventus and Milan. However, he was convinced most by the project in place by the black and blue side. And he has now been officially presented as a new player for them.
Davide Frattesi officially signs for Inter Milan
Sassuolo will receive a €6 million loan fee for the 23/24 season, and will receive Inter striker Samuele Mulattieri in exchange. The mandatory buy option is valued at €25 million with another €5 million available through add-ons. As a result, the Neroverdi will receive a total of €36 million for the transfer of Frattesi to Inter.
“You just need to look around you to understand the importance of this Club. It all started a year and a half ago when I played against Inter and was really impressed by the stadium and fans. This is a very important factor for me, which is why I didn’t have any second thoughts when this opportunity presented itself,” Davide Frattesi told Inter’s media channels.
“I certainly hope to win a few trophies. I’ll show commitment and professionalism, and I hope to score a few goals,” he added.
Inter have already signed Marcus Thuram on a free deal, and are now looking to bring back Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea alongside Frattesi’s signing.
