David Beckham open to helping Indian football in the future

England legend David Beckham said that he would be open to helping Indian football progress if the opportunity presents itself. The iconic midfielder spoke at the Doha Forum event last week and mentioned how football unites people like nothing else. 

The 46-year-old is currently helping the Qatar government host the 2022 World Cup. He is one of the ambassadors for the event and spoke out about inclusivity for people of all countries when it comes to football.

Beckham acknowledged the impact of football on his life. It helped him learn about new cultures, and people and also allowed him to travel the world. The midfielder has played for Manchester United in the Premier League, Real Madrid in La Liga, AC Milan in Italy, and Paris Saint-Germain in France before joining LA Galaxy in the United States. 

He is one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the world right now, as the owner of Inter Miami and the co-owner of Salford City FC. 

The former midfielder spoke out about how he would like to bring forth the next generation of players, and helping Indian football become more popular would certainly be on the agenda. 

The Indian ISL is the top league in the country right now and is serving as a gateway to the national team as well.
