It has not even been a month since Lionel Messi made the shocking move to PSG, after ending his 21-year association with Barcelona. And now, according to the Mirror, the forward has already started negotiations for his next move.
Messi has a two-year deal with PSG and is yet to make his debut for the Parisians. However, Inter Miami seem to be keen on securing themselves as the next club that the six-time Ballon d’Or award winning forward plays for.
The Mirror have reported that club owner and former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham has already had a word with Messi regarding the future. Messi has reportedly bought property in Miami already, while Beckham has promised fans the arrivals of Ronaldo as well as Lionel Messi in the future.
Messi has mentioned his desire to play in the States in the past, and Jorge Mas, the co-owner of Inter Miami mentioned in June that he hoped the Argentinian star would feature for his club in the future. “I am optimistic Messi will play in an Inter Miami shirt because I think it will complete the legacy of the greatest player in our generation and will meet with the ambitions of the owners of Inter Miami to build a world-class team,” he had said.
The 34-year-old has also mentioned that he would want to return to his native Argentina and boyhood club Newell’s Old Boys, so we could see the legendary forward play until he’s 40 if he must fulfill a spell in America as well.
