For two seasons, *Daredevil: Born Again* stuck to gritty, street-level crime. Season 3 is about to break that rule — and fans of the original Netflix series will know exactly why that’s exciting.

Set photos have confirmed Elodie Yung is returning as **Elektra**, the assassin-turned-anti-hero who first appeared in Netflix’s *Daredevil* and *The Defenders*. Her comeback isn’t just a nostalgia play — it signals Marvel Television is finally opening the door to the supernatural side of its universe.

## What’s Changing, and Why It Matters

Show producer Aaron Moorhead once said *Born Again* stood out precisely because it avoided supernatural elements. Elektra’s arrival reverses that, and she’s not coming alone — Danny Rand (Iron Fist) is also confirmed for Season 3.

| Element | Details |
| --- | --- |
| Returning character | Elektra (Elodie Yung) |
| Also confirmed | Iron Fist (Danny Rand) |
| Supernatural tie | Elektra is worshipped by the Hand as the “Black Sky” |
| Crossover link | The Hand also appears in *Spider-Man: Brand New Day* |
| Comic hook | Elektra has taken over the Daredevil mantle before |

## Daredevil: Born Again- The Bigger MCU Connection

Elektra’s ties to the Hand — the shadowy ninja organization from Netflix’s Marvel shows — make a comeback for the group increasingly likely, especially since the Hand already resurfaced in *Spider-Man: Brand New Day*. Two major projects featuring the same faction in the same stretch of time is rarely a coincidence.

There’s also a comic-accurate twist worth watching: Elektra has taken up the Daredevil mantle in the source material when Matt Murdock stepped aside. If *Born Again* ever goes there, it would give the show’s title a whole new meaning.

## FAQs

### **1. Is Elektra confirmed as a villain in Daredevil: Born Again Season 3?**

Not exactly. Elektra has historically been portrayed as an anti-hero rather than a straightforward villain, and her exact role in Season 3 hasn’t been officially detailed yet.

### **2. Why is Elektra considered a “supernatural” character?**

Elektra’s storylines are deeply tied to the Hand, a mystical ninja organization that regards her as the “Black Sky,” a prophesied leader with supernatural significance in Marvel lore. *Daredevil: Born Again* streams on **Disney+**, with Season 3 currently in production.
