## Daisy’s Reckless Scheme — Bold, But Costly

When Dr. Grove doesn’t abuse her during the visit, Daisy takes matters into her own hands — tearing her own uniform, running out frantically, and falsely claiming she was assaulted. This fabricated incident sets off a massive firestorm, ruining the Grove family’s reputation and pushing Aunt Lydia and Commander Judd to fast-track plans against the dentist.

Lydia clearly knows Daisy is lying — but she’s perfectly willing to let it slide if it helps get rid of the dentist, who is clearly not in the inner circle with the Commanders. [The Review Geek](https://www.thereviewgeek.com/thetestaments-s1e9review/)

## The Real Bombshell in The Testaments— Agnes Tells Becka the Truth

A furious Becka attacks Daisy at school the next morning — but Agnes pulls her away. When they’re alone, Agnes asks Becka if her father ever touched her inappropriately. Becka says no. Then Agnes drops the gut-punch: *“He did it to me.”* [TVLine](https://www.tvline.com/2177393/the-testaments-season-1-episode-9-recap-becka-kills-father-marat-sade/)

When Agnes confirms the abuse through shared experience, Becka is utterly shattered — her own father abused the person she loves most. [Comic Basics](https://www.comicbasics.com/the-testaments-episode-9-ending-explained/)

## Becka Kills Dr. Grove — The Ending Explained

Becka delivers a form of divine justice at the end of Episode 9. She crept in while her father was taking a bath and stabbed him to death. [PRIMETIMER](https://www.primetimer.com/features/the-testaments-season-1-episode-9-ending-explained-why-was-becka-taken-away)

However, it wasn’t the murder itself that led to her arrest — Commander MacKenzie called the Eyes, and Becka was taken away by them along with her fiancé Garth, who had been promoted to Commander. Agnes screamed when she realized her friend was being taken away — she had believed they were bringing Becka to a hospital, not handing her over to Gilead’s enforcers.

## What’s Next? Will Becka Survive?

The official synopsis for the Season 1 finale confirms Becka’s story continues: *“While Becka faces the consequences of her actions, Agnes and Daisy must decide how far they’re willing to go to protect her.”* In Margaret Atwood’s source novel, Becka survives and eventually becomes Aunt Immortelle, helping the resistance.
