Originally announced for Ugadi (March 19), then bumped due to box office traffic, **Adivi Sesh has now officially confirmed** that *Dacoit: A Love Story* hits theatres worldwide on **April 10, 2026**. The actor announced it himself with a simple, punchy post — “Goldfish on April 10. In Theaters Worldwide.” — and that was all fans needed.

## Love, Betrayal, and Revenge — What’s the Story?

*Dacoit* isn’t your typical masala action film. At its heart, it’s a revenge love story — an angry convict who can’t let go of the woman who betrayed him. What went wrong between them? Why did she do it? The film builds its entire emotional spine around those two questions.

Adivi Sesh wrote the screenplay himself, which makes this project deeply personal. Director **Shaneil Deo**, better known as a cinematographer, makes his directorial debut here — bringing a visually distinctive lens to the material. And having **Anurag Kashyap** on screen as a police officer? That’s casting gold.

One notable behind-the-scenes twist: Shruti Haasan was originally cast opposite Sesh, but exited due to creative differences. **Mrunal Thakur** stepped in, and from the teasers, the pairing looks genuinely electric.

The postponement from March 19 was largely a strategic move — *Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge* and *Toxic* were crowding the same weekend. With April 10 now clear, *Dacoit* gets breathing room at the [Telugu cinema](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telugu_cinema) box office.

## What’s Next for Adivi Sesh?

After *Dacoit*, Sesh has **G2** lined up — the highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 spy hit *Goodachari*, featuring a massive ensemble including Emraan Hashmi, Suniel Shetty, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Prakash Raj. The actor is clearly on a roll.
